The Pledge
I'm choosing to delay getting my child a smartphone whilst at primary school. By signing I commit that:
- ✓ I will not give my child a smartphone while they are at primary school — this means at home, not just at school
- ✓ I will aim to delay smartphones until at least secondary school, ideally age 14 or beyond
- ✓ I accept that a basic phone (calls and texts only, no internet) is a reasonable alternative if needed
This is a social commitment, not a legal one. It's about building a community of like-minded families so no child feels left out for not having a phone.
